AI, AI, Uh Oh

Let me start by saying I’m not a fan of AI.

But that doesn’t mean I’m opposed to learning about it.

This same approach can apply to other parts of your life too.

Let’s face it.

Fear of the unknown is scary.

But what’s worse is choosing to be ignorant.

My friend Emad Georgy did a LinkedIn Live with me about the practical applications of AI.

There was a lot of information he shared I wasn’t aware of.

So much of your work as a leader comes down to learning.

You won’t be an expert at everything, but being knowledgable about various topics is helpful.

I like what Emad had to say, AI can be a resource (vs. replacement) for accelerating tasks.

But there is a dark side to AI too.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who sees AI as a threat to taking human jobs.

But the reality is it may be a wake up call to differentiate yourself from being replaced.

One legitimate reason to fear AI is the fact there are no rules or regulations at this point.

It’s like creating something that has the capacity to destroy your life.

  • Like most technology, it forces you to move at a rapid pace.

  • I’m not at the point where I’m comfortable fully embracing it, so I lean on others who have done the research to educate me.

  • AI does have its pros and cons plus it definitely exposes your flaws such as a lack of soft skills.

I’m curious, what are your concerns and questions about AI?

Reply to this email and I’ll do my best to find an answer (most likely ask a trusted friend).

Until then I’m going to continue to focus on what I consider AI’s Kryptonite: soft skills (see more in the video below!)

God Bless,
